Silent partner

John McFarland's involvement in Fyre Festival was largely behind the scenes, despite his significant role in the festival's finances. This raises important questions about the role of silent partners in business ventures and the potential risks associated with this type of involvement.

• Definition of a silent partner
A silent partner is an individual who invests in a business but does not take an active role in its management or operations. Silent partners typically have limited liability for the business's debts and obligations.
