If a player can hit the ball long and straight, they can make up for any mistakes they make with their short game.

Of course, there are also some challenges associated with being a long hitter. First, it can be difficult to control the ball when hitting it long distances. Second, long hitters often have to use longer clubs into the greens, which can make it more difficult to hit the ball close to the hole.
