• Has been used for centuries
• Can withstand the rigors of deep-sea fishing

Molly lines are a good choice for fishermen of all experience levels. They are strong, durable, and versatile, and can be used for a variety of fishing techniques. Whether you are fishing in deep water or trolling for fish, a molly line is a good choice.

Strong

Molly lines are known for their strength, which is a key factor in their popularity among fishermen. The strength of a molly line is due to its twisted nylon or polyester fiber construction. This construction gives the line a high breaking strength, which is the amount of force required to break the line. The breaking strength of a molly line is typically measured in pounds, and can range from 50 pounds to over 100 pounds.

The strength of a molly line is important for several reasons. First, it allows the line to withstand the rigors of deep-sea fishing. Deep-sea fishing often involves using heavy weights and lures, and the line must be strong enough to withstand the force of the fish and the current. Second, the strength of a molly line allows it to be used for trolling. Trolling is a fishing technique that involves dragging a lure behind a boat. The line must be strong enough to withstand the force of the boat and the lure.

The strength of a molly line is also important for safety. When fishing in deep water, it is important to use a line that is strong enough to hold the fish. A weak line could break, causing the fish to escape and potentially injure the angler. Additionally, a weak line could break while trolling, causing the lure to be lost.

Durable

Molly lines are known for their durability, which is another key factor in their popularity among fishermen. The durability of a molly line is due to its twisted nylon or polyester fiber construction. This construction gives the line a high resistance to abrasion, which is the wearing away of the line caused by rubbing against surfaces. The abrasion resistance of a molly line is important because it allows the line to be used in a variety of fishing environments, including rocky and sandy bottoms.

The durability of a molly line is also important for safety. When fishing in deep water, it is important to use a line that is durable enough to withstand the rigors of the environment. A durable line is less likely to break, which can prevent the loss of fish and gear. Additionally, a durable line is less likely to break while trolling, which can prevent the loss of lures.

The durability of a molly line is a key factor in its popularity among fishermen. Molly lines are strong, durable, and versatile, making them a good choice for a variety of fishing techniques. Whether you are fishing in deep water or trolling for fish, a molly line is a good choice.

Versatile

The versatility of molly lines is due to their combination of strength, durability, and ease of use. Molly lines are strong enough to withstand the rigors of deep-sea fishing, yet they are also flexible and easy to tie and knot. This makes them a good choice for a variety of fishing techniques.

The versatility of molly lines is also important for safety. When fishing in deep water, it is important to use a line that is strong enough to hold the fish and durable enough to withstand the rigors of the environment. Molly lines meet both of these requirements, making them a good choice for deep-sea fishing.

The versatility of molly lines is one of their key advantages. Molly lines can be used for a variety of fishing techniques, in both saltwater and freshwater environments. They are also strong, durable, and easy to use, making them a good choice for both experienced and novice fishermen.

Easy to tie and knot

• Knot security
The knots tied in molly lines are secure and will not easily come undone. This is important for fishermen because it ensures that the line will not slip or come undone, which could cause the loss of fish and gear.
• Ease of use

The ease of tying and knotting molly lines is a key advantage for fishermen. It makes molly lines a good choice for a variety of fishing techniques, including deep-sea fishing, trolling, and bottom fishing.

Available in a variety of colors and thicknesses

Molly lines are available in a variety of colors and thicknesses, which is an important factor for fishermen to consider when choosing a line. The color of the line can affect its visibility to fish, and the thickness of the line can affect its strength and durability.

For example, a bright-colored line may be more visible to fish in clear water, while a dark-colored line may be less visible in murky water. A thicker line may be stronger and more durable, but it may also be more visible to fish. A thinner line may be less visible to fish, but it may also be weaker and less durable.

The variety of colors and thicknesses available in molly lines allows fishermen to choose a line that is best suited for the specific fishing conditions they will be encountering. For example, a fisherman fishing in clear water may choose a bright-colored line to increase the visibility of the line to fish. A fisherman fishing in murky water may choose a dark-colored line to decrease the visibility of the line to fish. A fisherman fishing for large fish may choose a thicker line to increase the strength and durability of the line. A fisherman fishing for small fish may choose a thinner line to decrease the visibility of the line to fish.

Be sure to use a knot that is specifically designed for the type of fishing you are doing and the size of your line. Some of the most popular knots for molly line include the Palomar knot, the improved clinch knot, and the uni knot.

Tip 2: Use a shock leader

A shock leader is a length of heavier line that is tied to the end of your molly line. It helps to protect your line from abrasion and sudden, which can occur when you are fighting a large fish or fishing in heavy cover. Shock leaders are especially important when using braid line, which is more susceptible to abrasion than monofilament or fluorocarbon line.
